Monty and Morgion 024: Dark Merger Pt. I

22Nov02 (Monthenor): I'm as busy as I ever get these days, but I'm still going to attempt something new with the MM comics. I'm injecting a little plot into the MMs that may last through the holiday season...we'll see how the continuity goes. Trust me, the payoff will be great.

Me == busy? I hope that's not the only thing you got out of that last paragraph, but yes, I am. In the past week I had to finish one project, start a take-home test in another class, start another project, get my oil changed, produce two comics, and do it all while diving into the James Bond marathon. I realize that some of that isn't strictly food-on-the-table necessary, but dammit it's what I do.

That second panel is an outdated picture of our actual living room, so you creepy stalker types can...I dunno...beat off to our couch pattern or something.

Where's that hammer?

11.22.02 (Morgion):

Despite the impression today's comic may convey, my resignation from a stable, descent-paying job with paid vacation and benefits to pursue other endeavors was no simple matter. I'm not saying I'm not at a little happy and excited; I've wanted to do freelance consulting for a while now. There are two sides to every coin... even a lead nickel.

Oh, wait, I should have introduced myself; I'm Morgion, the other half of M&M. You remember me, right? I know, I've been away for a while. Busy setting up a way to be financially solvent and everything. It's kept me fairly occupied. Unlike some people... *snicker*

Although Monty's definition of "busy" may not be standard, look up "crazy" in any dictionary and you'll probably find both of us featured. Probably with references to "obsessive" and "fanatical".

There are 21 Bond films sitting in our living room, waiting for us to finish watching them... or build a fort out of them. Either way, that's a lot of Bond. Don't worry, you too can live vicariously though our experience. I've been taking notes of the important particulars: villains, gadgets (I twitch every time there's a scene in Q Department.. it never ends!), girls, and of course, references that inspired parallels in Austin Powers.

And it's a good thing I don't sit on that couch very often... I won't be able to look at it the same way ever again...
